IN MEMORY OF WYNNE CLARKSON 28/4/23 - 17/03/09

St Patrick's Day will be a memorable day in our life from now on. Not only will it be connected with the planting of Sweet Peas to enjoy in the spring, or for the Guinness that flows and leprechauns. It will be the day Wynne Clarkson (beloved Mum of my husband David) passed from this life.
Wynne was the second daughter of Eliza Alice & John Birch and she was one of four children. They grew up in the Lancashire village of Poulton Le Fylde and she would live her entire life there. She meet Frank Clarkson after the war and they were married on 28/12/1949 and honeymooned in Bournemouth on the British Riviera. They would buy a home and move to 9 Rivington Close, Poulton in December 1960 with their 3 children, Paul, David and Ann, this would remain the family home until her death. Frank passed away in May 08 and their marriage was amazing.
Wynne had a good life, 4 grandaughters and they would holiday every year with friends. She worked outside the home in many occupations. She loved her home, family and was a very caring loving person. She will be missed.

To my Parents In Law - I would like to say how lucky I was to have had such nice people to be related to and THANK YOU for being you. Love Ros.

My dedication

WYNNE & FRANK
“A Love Story”

It was a winter’s day, 28th December 1949. They stood side-by-side in this church. Two individuals had made it through the war and had found their loving partner. Their love continued for almost six decades.

They would have challenges and see many changes over that time, but one thing stood strong, their love for one another.

They created a home which they bought in 1960 at 9 Rivington Close. This would be the setting for the next 49 years, raising two sons, Paul and David, and a daughter Ann. The two boys are different in nature but share a passion for sport especially The Sport of Kings, horseracing. Ann was the apple of their eye, loving and caring to them and they all gave them so much joy.

Through their children they had four granddaughters, Emma & Abigail and in Australia Avril & Brittany. They spent numerous happy hours with them and had great fun.

Wynne and Frank had many friends. They spent happy holidays each year at home and abroad. They enjoyed attending church and were generous to friends and relatives in need, visiting, shopping for them and doing errands.

It is only 10 months ago that Frank Clarkson left this life, but today as we remember:

WYNNE CLARKSON

A song comes to my mind, “A love Story” by Taylor Swift - to me this is the essence of their love.

“Romeo, save me, I've been feeling so alone”. He knelt to the ground and pulled out a ring and said, “marry me Juliet – you’ll never have to be alone. I love you and that’s all I really know”.

St Peter called Wynne home on St Patrick’s Day 2009 and with his caring hand WYNNE AND FRANK are together again.
They now send their love to all those of us who are left behind. They are watching and guiding us from heaven - now and always.
